Tonglu is a beautiful place since ancient times. It is named after the famous pharmacist Tong who once dwelt there. The city itself has a history of more than 1000 years. The Center Square is surrounded with the beautiful mountains and Fuchun River and covers an area of 8.5 hectares. Accompanied with the sculptures, trees and flowers around it and with the function of the electronic sound and light, the large-scale musical fountain in the square becomes a most splendid pearl engraved along the bank of Fuchun River. It attracts many visitors each year.
     The Center Square Musical Fountain in Tonglu was finished by Nature Master in October,2001. The pool of the fountain is T shaped and covers an area of 1700 square meters. It employs 1954 jets, 1000 underwater color lights, 100 pumps, 148 sets of hydraulic nozzles. The lotus water volume in the center can be as high as 50 meters. It has more than 20 kinds of water styles including floating fountain, seagulls, chasing waves, peacocks, swinging, flower baskets.
